The Early Career Researcher (ECR) programme will equip you with the knowledge of participating in research projects along with the skills and training to get a research position. The programme will begin with the basics of performing research and take you to the advanced level to train you to write your own research proposal, perform literature reviews, and write a research-based thesis. The ECR programme also includes 4-week of virtual internship in your own field. You can choose your virtual internship in Biomedical Science, Neuroscience, Cancer Research, or Artificial Intelligence in Medicine.
Through the Research Career Guidance included in this programme, you will be able to write a professional researcher's CV, which will help you get your dream research position. To stay competitive in the field of biomedical research, universities and organizations need experienced researchers with knowledge and understanding of cutting-edge research methods. This 16-week programme is designed to provide you with the knowledge you need to start your early research career and/or start working on your thesis. It will train you to perform research in an international research environment.

This 4-week programme will provide you with knowledge of writing your bachelor's, master's, or PhD thesis. It will provide you with the knowledge to work on your thesis topic and perform a literature review. You will also receive expert feedback from our researchers on your submitted thesis to further improve it. You will be provided with thesis templates and you can also work on your university's thesis template. Our teacher's guidance will be available 24/7 during your programme through the discussion forum.
This programme will train you to apply for research jobs and positions. It will help you prepare your research CV and receive feedback from successful researchers on your CV to further improve it and increase your chances of reaching to the interview stage. You will be also provided with professional CV templates and guidance during your research CV preparation.
This 4 weeks of virtual training will provide you with a learning opportunity from researchers at CamCID. It will provide you with research opportunities, professional feedback on your weekly research-based tasks, and guidance during the tasks. You will participate in research activities (tasks and data analysis) and also gain academic writing skills.
During the registration process, you will be able to choose any one Research Training (Virtual Internship) from Neuroscience / Biomedical Science / AI in Medicine / Cancer Immunotherapy.

This distance-learning programme is delivered on Moodle (virtual learning platform). There is no exam in the programme. However, you will be given different assignments, research-based tasks, and skills development tasks to complete within the given deadline. It is designed by the CamCID researchers (graduates and researchers from multiple high-ranked universities). Learn more about our research groups.

ECR programme starts at a beginner level and progresses towards the mid and advanced level. A minimum of 12 months of undergraduate level education is recommended in biology, biochemistry, biomedical science, bioscience, medicine, computer science, engineering, AI, data science, neuroscience, pharmacy, and/or other relevant areas.
All our programmes are taught in English. You must have good English language skills. However, no official English language certificate or no exam is required to get admitted to this programme.
After successfully completing all the parts of this programme, you will be provided with an e-certificate of completion including details of your virtual internship at the Cambridge Centre for Innovation and Development (CamCID).
Q. Do you offer any discounts or scholarships?
A. Unfortunately, we do not offer any scholarships at the moment.
Q. Can I complete the programme along with my full-time work or study?
A. The programme can be completed online part-time along with other full-time studies or work. It will include recorded lectures (our virtual internships do not include lectures) and tasks to complete on your own schedule and the deadline for submission of the tasks will be several months (16 weeks). However, it is recommended to give 6-8 hours per week for learning and acquiring research skills.
Q. Does it include a live mentorship session?
A. There is an optional mentorship session in the programme. It will help you receive live guidance and help to complete your tasks and thesis. The virtual session is usually arranged after 17:00 pm UK Time.
