This Professional Certificate (PCert) course will provide you the knowledge of cardiovascular science including the cellular and molecular basis of cardiovascular diseases. This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge to participate in cardiovascular science and imaging research. You will explore the areas of the cardiovascular system and different pathologies. You’ll also learn about different diagnostic methods and imaging tools in cardiovascular research.
In the first two modules, you’ll develop your core scientific and skills across the breadth of cardiovascular science and diseases including an overview of cardiomyopathies, coronary artery disease, and congenital heart disease.
In the last two modules, you will learn about diagnostic methods in cardiology including ECG, echocardiography, CT, and MRI. You will also have the opportunity to explore the latest research in the field of cardiovascular imaging. This will give you the opportunity to develop your skills further in cardiovascular science and disease research.
The online distance-learning delivery of the course will provide opportunities to receive expertise from the Cambridge Centre for Innovation and Development (CamCID) researchers, material from our partners, and guest lectures.
